Our privacy policy applies to information we collect when you use or access our website, application, or just interact with us. We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Whenever we make changes to this privacy policy, the changes are effective a month after we post the revised privacy policy (as indicated by revising the date at the top of our privacy policy). We encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you access our services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

Collection of Information

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you participate in any interactive features of our services, fill out a form, request customer support, provide any screenshots, contact or identifying information or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, postal address, credit card information and other contact or identifying information you choose to provide.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Use the Services

We use a variety of Google services in order to provide you with the best experience. These service are:

Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication in order to enable end-user authentication and facilitate end-user account management. To do that it processes personal data, meaning email addresses and passwords.

Database

We use Firebase Realtime Database to store all of your data, including profile (name, language, log count) and health records. These data are managed entirely by you and it is up to you to delete them at any time.

Storage

Cloud Storage for Firebase is used to store photos that you may upload. These files are managed entirely by you and it is up to you to delete them at any time.

Additional services

Cloud Functions for Firebase is used to provide a number of additional services, including counting the number of logs and generating a PDF export of your health records. This PDF file is immediately deleted from our servers after generation.

Information We Collect From Other Sources

In order to provide you with access to the Service, or to provide you with better service in general, we may combine information obtained from other sources (for example, a third-party service whose application you have authorized or used to sign in) and combine that with information we collect through our services. An example of that is the user's name which is provided by a third party (Google, Facebook) during account creation. This information is stored at the user's profile and can later be edited or removed by the user.

Third Party Analytics

We use Google Analytics in order to track user behaviour inside our app. This third party may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information including your IP address, the version and the language of the app, as well as pages viewed, time spent on pages, buttons clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by us to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand your activity. Information collected this way is anonymous, meaning that there is no Personal Identifiable Information (PII) which can be used to link activity with a specific user.

Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, third party cookies, web beacons or other tracking technologies and we encourage you to check the privacy policies of these third parties to learn more about their privacy practices.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Data security is guaranteed by Google, being the third party hosting them. On top of that, we have designed a strict security system which only allows authenticated users to access their data. This means that there is no way for someone else to access your personal data, unless they have your password.

That being said you should always keep your password secret and, in the event that it is compromised, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help protect your data. Also, please be mindful about who you share your health information with outside the app (ex. PDF export).

Children

We do not allow persons who are ages sixteen or younger to become members of this service. If you are under age 16, do not share personal information with us.

Your Information Choices

Promotional Communications

You may opt out of receiving any promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Your California Privacy Rights

California law permits residents of California to request certain details about how their information is shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please contact us at contact@updochealth.com. However, please note that under the law, Services such as ours that permit California residents to opt in to, or opt out of, this type of sharing are not required to provide such information upon receiving a request, but rather may respond by notifying the user of his or her right to prevent the disclosure.
